Doc`s Food & Spirits in Smyrna

First time here last night (Friday) and I’ll be back for sure. I love that the crowd is diverse and literally everyone gets along. The food was delicious, service was great. I sat at the bar and all the bartenders were friendly and attentive. As soon as I walked in Sierra greeted me with a smile and said I could sit wherever I’d like and I found a seat at the bar and got a drink immediately. Windy checked on me every few minutes and I had what I needed at all times! If service is like this all the time I’m sure I’ll quickly become a regular!

I absolutely love this place!!! It only 8 minutes away from my house driving... toe drinks are strong, the food is delicious and best of all reasonably priced... the music is a variety of all different caribou’s kinds.. my first night there they had a live band... and it never matters what you look like as long as you are presentable of course... Their out door patio is awesome!!!And everyone there is friendly!!!

DJ was fun. Food was cool, what you expect for a sports bar. The cigarette smoke inside sucks. Maybe better ventilation would help us non-smokers.

Decent bar food with specials, also nice strong cocktails. If you get stopped by the police and tell them where you were and only had 2 drinks, you go directly to jail.

The food hear was surprisingly deliciouswhich is a half times when my girlfriend got the baked potato which was really good we also got chips and cheese when you get a ton of chips and really good cheese. The only downside to this place is the water is Tap gross. and they allow smoking inside which I understand it's a bar that it really bother me but it might bother some people. Definitely recommend will eat again

Great place for bar food and alcoholic beverages. I orded the fried shrimp house salad is served first. The shrimp is served with a choice of vegetables and a roll. A serving of cocktail and tartar sauce arrived with it; I chose the sauteed spinach which had onions and tomatoes in it. My Friend ordered a burger and potato wedges. The burger was topped with lettuce and tomatoes. It was a perfect medium rare as ordered.We enjoyed all that was served enthusiastically. Doc's is a classic neighborhood bar and although the decorum is stuck in a time warp. It was well maintained and you can still smoke inside! I've dined here before and have never been disappointed!

Docs is my favorite bar around. I love the diversity and that it’s literally for everyone! I’ve met some of the coolest, down to earth people here and it’s always a good time. It does get busy so the staff gets a little overwhelmed but the service is still good for the amount of business they have. From my personal experience Sierra is the best. If she’s there I only order from her. She knows my drink, my food order and before I can even sit down she has my drink waiting for me. That’s customer service that I truly appreciate. I’ve also had really great experiences with Shannon and Mariah! They’re my other options if Sierra isn’t working. But again, overall the whole staff is pretty solid.

Sierra is amazing! I suggest anyone ask for her! She makes my experience wonderful every time I come! The food is also really good for the most part! Especially the lemon pepper wings

Pretty cool late night spot. Kitchen stays open late, drinks are strong, always busy but the service is always fairly decent. If you sit at a table the service can be a little bit slower but the staff is always nice. I prefer sitting at the bar but sometimes it’s hard to find a seat. If Sierra is there I will stand until I get a seat though because she is the absolute best. She stays consistent and is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Taylor just recently served me for the first time and I was very impressed so if Sierra isn’t working I’m hoping Taylor will be there. But docs definitely is not for everybody. If you don’t like smoke this isn’t the place and it’s also a hole in the wall but I love it. It’s the cheers of Smyrna!

Me and my girl came in tonight and it was pretty busy but they seemed to be doing a good job as far as social distancing so I appreciate that. Our server Ciara was on top of everything. She did a great job and checked on us every few minutes. This is only my 5th or 6th time coming and I can say this is the best service I’ve ever had from docs. I’ll be back for sure

Since Covid-19 crisis, restaurant has made improvements for online delivery.They aren't great with social distancing esp when patrons are showing up. They are more concerned about money/tips. If you want to feel safe, then sit outside or order online.

I was skeptical about coming here because I’ve heard some bad things but from first hand experience I can say this place is definitely a place you must visit if you’re in Cobb county. It was packed when I got there and I went to the bar, I was acknowledged immediately and waited maybe 3 minutes. The bartender came back as promised got my drink, started a tab and every time I came back she asked did I want another crown and coke. I was impressed that she remembered my drink. And she made it super quick each time. Her name was Cici! Every establishment definitely needs a worker like her. My expectations were low but changed immediately. I live 45 minutes away but I’m in this area very often and I will now come here frequently. I hope my visit will be like this every time.

My "Cheers" and favorite place to be!!! The drinks are always stiff(thAnkh you Clarissa,Shannon&Gabby my favorite bartenders❤)and reasonably priced. The food is good and if you don't find a great conversation it'll find you! They also stay open late which is a plus for a night owl such as myself.

Looking for a Cheers style local watering hole? Here it is. Friendly and diverse clientele. Smoky and kind of crowded considering the covid warnings.

Doc's is the 2nd oldest Bar in Smryna but, #1 in my mind. The best, bar food! Drinks are on point. I am very fond of the staff personally. It's a chill spot so don't come trying to flex...and as always TIP your server and bartender. They are Angel's in a cruel cruel world.

I came here last night for Halloween and this was my second time coming! My first visit wasn’t the worst but I would probably have given docs 2 stars. My bartender that night was horrible! But let’s focus on the positive! My server last night (Sierra) was amazing! She was very busy but stayed on top of everything. My food and drinks came out quickly, and she checked on me every few minutes. I didn’t have to hunt her down for anything. I will definitely be back! I’m glad I gave this place another chance because I would’ve been disappointed had I not!

Docs! Great spot for a late night hangout. The service was on point for it to be 2am! The waitresses are friendly! I definitely recommend the wings. My wife loved her margarita. They stay open until 4 which is a added bonus.

Be very careful with this place! does not meet the rules of distance, all busy! maybe for wanting money they forget the distance between tables and people! NO one wore face mask.

I Love this place! Great place to enjoy yourself. Every night they have a special night for food and drinks. They have Karaoke, A DJ on Friday's and Saturday's. Saturday I'm not too sure of if the DJ is there or not however I do know Friday's is a definite.

My experience at docs is always top notch! I come Friday and Sunday nights and always have a blast. The bar staff on Fridays are the best. I love Windy, Sierra and Gabby. It doesn’t matter which one I get service from it’s always a pleasure. The bands are usually decent and the prices are the best around. I like bingo on Sunday nights and the guy on the mic is always funny. I’ve lived in Atlanta for almost 13 years and I still haven’t found a place I enjoy more than docs. It stays busy and I still get the best service. Sometimes the food can take a while but it typically comes out really good. I know some people don’t like cigarette smoke, including myself but I would much rather deal with that than 95% of these other bars with terrible service.

Karaoke Mondays aren't your regular Karaoke! They sing for real yall! Shout out to Shannon the bar tender, excellent customer service skills!

If I could give them no stars I would! This place has really gone bad....I'm not sure who is interviewing these servers/waitresses, however today was my husband and I last time coming. If your coming to get wasted and could care less about eating this is the place for you. But please don't come here with your mate. Our last visit was horrible however we gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried them again. Our waitress mumbled couldn't understand a word she was saying..... she caught an attitude because we asked if she could wipe off the 28 day sticky table. When our wings came out they were SUPER gummy! Never mind the lady that brought them out had 4 inch nails with an extremely bad attitude. Docs, y'all have got to do better! Love Docs, I Always Get The Wings And Fries. Hate When They Forget About Me On The Latenight When I Get Takeout So I Wait For An Hour Or More But I Like The Fact That You Can Heat Up The Fries And Wings And Itll Still Taste Like When You First Got It. You Cant Do That With Most Foods. Im Not An Leftover Type Of Person Either

The food was absolutely terrible. I ordered a fish sandwich and they threw stale bread and two frozen fish patties into a to-go box. The curly fries that came as a side were all scrap pieces that seemed to be the remains of a previous batch. The cheese sticks I ordered were cold and the cheese was not melted inside. Do not order food from here! I did not try any drinks but the food is not to be eaten, for the sake of your belly, taste buds, and most importantly your wallet.

I really enjoy this place. It’s like I’m getting a glimpse of the past. The prices are pretty good and the live music is a cool touch. There are smokers in here but oddly it adds to the feel. Service is good most of the time but not all and to add to that, sometimes it’s a bit hectic. All in all I would definitely recommend this bar.

First time in there after many years. It was only my friend and I along with 4 other patrons. Still smells smokey. That's why I gave it a 4. Okay place for inexpensive lunch specials.

If you want to come somewhere with great drink and super late night food and drink come here. It’s a cool hang out. Free parking. It is Smokey though which is the only thing I don’t particularly like but it’s cool.

Decent lil dive bar...got real busy...didnt give a 5 because the bartenders were rude the waitress we had was great though.

Most diverse crowd in the area: young, old, black, white, straight & gay-come one, come all! The best place to go to listen to live music. They have live music Thursday's & most Friday's & Saturday's. It seems like they have a DJ one Friday & Saturday a month. They have gotten better at updating their event calendar online so definitely check the website to see what's happening musically & more.

Ok Docs African Americans are your major clientele on Saturday nights so give them their music that you know is out there for them. This should not include the bluegrass stuff that the bands you hire are playing. AND during the band's breaks, what is the problem with investing in a decent sound system and good music. COME ON NOW YOU GOT TO DO BETTER.

I visited this place and the manager was VERY rude!!!!!! Lets say I had to call the cops for his behavior. It was unbelievable how I was treat. He then put on a scene when the cops arrived, he just showed his ignorance in front of LE. NEVER... have I been treated as such but hey...... CLEARLY THIS BEHAVIOR IS NOTHING NEW..... THIS PLACE GETS A LOT OF COMPLAINTS!!!!!!NOPE, I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. ACCEPT YOU FAULTS AAND THROW A TEMPER TANTRUM!!!!
